Not An Island

I caught a little summer cold (aren't they the worst?!) which is why I haven't posted for a few days. This is another one from the Sierra's - up at Iceberg Lake. I say "up" because we had to hike up quite a bit to get there. And then back down to camp after. This was an odd rock jutting out into the lake. I absolutely fell in love with the colors in the shadow. And in the water. Such an awesome place!

I really love this painting! The sky reflected on the facets of rock and the gorgeous colours in the shallows :-)

The range of colors reflected in the water and on the rocks is breathtaking. Totally worth the hike!
